The Glass Currents Inaugural Exhibition at the Richmond Art Center was organized by the Glass Alliance of NorthernCalifornia and the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California.

It presents a contemporary survey of glass art. With the American Studio Glass Movement having early roots in the Bay Area, this exhibition serves to honor this region’s place in history, while providing a contemporary view of where glass art has evolved to today.  This exhibition, juried by JoAnn Edwards of the Museum of Craft & Design in San Francisco, showcases the best in emerging and established artists, who meet the regional eligibility requirements, and create work primarily from glass.
