I grew up outside of NYC in a small rural town and graduated from New York University with a BS in Audio Technology. I slipped into clay sideways! I really enjoy exploring all the ways I can 'play with clay'. I'm fascinated with colors and textures, forms and especially mixing different types of processes. I've been represented by Freehand Gallery, LA, Ansel Adams Gallery, Pebble Beach, American Craftsman, NYC and many more. I now live and work in Monterey, CA.

Working with clay I pay equal attention to structure, form, surface and color. By blending different techniques together: wheel thrown and hand built, slab and coil, I strive to create forms that evoke a familiar feeling. Nature is a recurring theme and I replicate organic patterns by carving, piercing or painting. The design, the contrast between the clay and glazes all work together to enhance the form and to invite the viewer to investigate this medium.
