My work explores simple utilitarian forms designed to be used every day. I am inspired by traditional Japanese and Korean folk pottery and I aim to infuse my forms, surfaces and finishes with a sense of western aesthetics. Drawing in these influences my goal is to bring the tradition into the contemporary pottery field.
