Building a life around what you love is hard. It has taken me over a decade to actually realize I'm not going to get anywhere without taking some action. I credit clay for helping me come to that realization. I have worked in many different mediums, but none of them have moved me the way that working in clay has. It has given me permission to play and get dirty, something that 2d mediums couldn't give me. The most exciting thing for me is seeing the style that I have developed in 2d mediums being translated into my 3d work. My creatures are becoming things that take up physical space, they exist! I am indulging my inner child and I have never been this happy. I spend 40 hours a week as an Office Manager and then spend another 35 to 40 hours in the studio making things. My dream is to be a full-time "Maker of Things" some day.
