In this two-day, hands-on workshop, Michael Kline shares his 25 years of experience with demonstrations, discussions and best practices.
Michael is known for his fluid brushwork, strong traditional wood-fired forms, and a variety of surface treatments, including brushwork with wax resists and slips, thick slip combing, and traditional Korean slip inlay known as Sanggam.
Participants must be able to make a vessel without instruction. Wheel-thrown and slab-construction are acceptable.
Fees include one 25 lb. bag of clay, donated by Clay Planet. Additional clay will be available for purchase. Participants should bring their own clay tools and lunch for each day. Specific supply list will be emailed with registration.
