ACGA ARTIST OF THE MONTH –
JANE GRIMM

My current work is on ongoing exploration of creating sculptures in clay. My focus is on form. I experiment with the repetition of form, and what effect change in size, shape or color have on these forms. I minimalized the use of color so that most sculptures are various shades of white putting focus on the forms. My latest works vary in size from large-scale installations to smaller freestanding sculptures. I consider my wall hangings to be ceramic paintings, ceramic forms attached to wood panels. Some installations are ceramic sculptures installed directly on the wall.
