Artist Statement

I like to create pieces that are usable and unique. Each pot that I make I like to add some type of surface design, carving, unique detail, or alteration to make it one of a kind. I'm inspired by nature, architecture, textures, and the work of the online ceramics community. I'm interested in how texture and surface design can also create movement in pottery.
