ACGA REGIONAL EXHIBITION IN BENICIA CA
CALL FOR ENTRIES – DEADLINE MAY 21, 2025
The Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California (ACGA) and NY2CA Gallery invite you to submit your most inspiring “Arts of Fire”. This is an exhibition opportunity in a beautifully remodeled and lauded gallery, located in the historic waterfront town of Benicia California.
We hope you submit the piece(s) you are most excited about!
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS:
All submissions must be created in the mediums of ceramic or glass.
Both Sculptural and Functional work will be accepted. Pedestal and wall work accepted. Wall pieces over 10 lbs must be cleated, limited to 15 pounds. A limited number of outdoor pieces may be accepted and must be securely installed by artist.
Artists must reside in California (unless previous CA resident/ACGA member). Must be over 18 years of age. Work must not have previously exhibited at NY2CA Gallery. All artwork must be for sale. All work must be hang/display ready.
CLAY JUROR: Lisa Reinertson: Lisa is a renowned master of the clay medium. Her sculptures combine a realism rooted in figurative art traditions with a contemporary expression of social and psychological content. Lisa completed her MFA at UC Davis in 1984, studying with Robert Arneson and Manuel Neri at the legendary TB-9 studio. She has taught at several universities in California. Reinertson’s ceramic work has exhibited at museums both nationally and internationally. Lisa works out of her studio in Benicia, California.
GLASS JUROR: Demetra Theofanus: Demetra has been internationally recognized for her woven glass nest and flora sculptures, and is included in numerous private collections, as well as in the permanent collection of the Racine Art Museum, Imagine Museum, Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation, Glass Museum Alter Hof Herding in Germany. She has received many notable awards. Demetra has served as lecturer, juror and educator, teaching at top educational institutions such as Pratt Fine Arts Center, Pittsburgh Glass Center, and Bay Area Glass Institute. Demetra’s private studio is in the San Francisco Bay Area.
CURATORS:
Suzanne Long is a professional clay artist and former curator at Epperson Gallery. Vickie Marchand, a generous supporter of artists, is the owner of NY2CA Gallery, 617 First St. Benicia CA, 94510.

No Later Than July 31 — August 3, 2025! - SHIPPED work must include prepaid return shipping label and will be returned during the week following the show.

- INSURANCE for shipping is the responsibility of artists.
OPENING RECEPTION — Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 6-7pm
PICK UP DATE: unsold work: Monday, September 22, 2025 10-5pm at NY2CA Gallery
SUBMISSIONS:
You may submit 1-3 pieces:
Submission fee $40 for up to 3 unique pieces. Each submitted piece can have up to 3 FREE additional detail views (i.e. back, sides)
Your total number of unique pieces is considered your ENTRY on ENTRYTHINGY.
DO NOT click ‘Submit this Entry’ UNTIL YOU HAVE FINISHED ENTERING ALL YOUR PIECES WITH THEIR DETAIL IMAGES. Use the ‘Add Piece’ button to enter multiple pieces.
After uploading your images, please check how your entry will look by clicking ‘See Jury View’ on the right side of the page. When you are ready to pay, click the ‘Submit This Entry’ Button to finalize and pay for your entry
ACGA Members receive a 60/40% commission on sales.
Non members receive a 50/50% commission on sales.

NAMING YOUR JPG FILES:
Submitted images must be JPG files.
Title artwork files as follows:
Artist’s Last Name, underscore, Title. (Example: Smith_Scratch.JPG)
IMAGE SPECIFICATIONS:
- JPG images should be sized approximately 6 inches high x 4 inches wide at 300 dpi resolution.
- For a successful image upload, it must be at least 1200 pixels wide on the longest side.
- JPG images should be sized approximately 6 inches high x 4 inches wide at 300 dpi resolution.
- The maximum upload-able file size is 8 megabytes.
